If something can be named agressive marketing, it looks like this:
Looks like Ikea’s webpage, however it’s the main page of Helsingin Sanomat online. Looks terrible and is definitely impossible to read. Will have to go elsewhere for the news today.
I can only hope they have NOT made a paper version of this sh*t. Agrrrrh!
For some time we had quite effective JS antispam solution working at julkka.com it worked well until bots became more “clever” and learned how to pass java script barriers. Then julkka.com was attacked by spammers and situation became worse day by day. Recently we had real bad situation with amount of spam that forced me to switch commenting from registered users only. This was not the thing i was happy to do so i learned about captcha.
I’m happy to inform you that now julkka.com has new captcha antispam solution implemented, posts are possible also from unregistered users and saying goodbye to bots
Marja Tyrni, or Marja Seabuckthorn, or Seabuckthorn Berry since “marja” is “berry” in English.
Lehtikuva / Heikki Saukkomaa
This is a, hm, woman in her 40s or 50s from Pallivaha residential area of Turku (which really exists, although “pallivaha” means “ball wax”, where balls are of course those of man, not of basketball), wearing a thick pullover even in summer 2010 and loves baking so much that her husband died of obesity.
Here. Marja Tyrni – Suut makiaks. You can easily guess what is between the lines from what Tyrni does in the video
In the meanwhile, the character makes fun of zumba madness, blind cook shows, Tommi Korpela, and many more.
So, who is Mr. Putin Mrs. Tyrni?
Aku Hirviniemi, a stand up comic and actor, is there.
200g natural yoghurt or kermaviili
1 big or 2 middle sized apples, greeb & juicy, like for ex. Granny Smith
1/2 tblsp grated horseradish
salt and white pepper to taste
fresh mint leaves
Wash, peel, and grate the apples(s).
Mix yoghurt, horseradish, salt, pepper, and chopped mint leaves in a bowl. Whisk slightly. Add in the apples.
Enjoy alone or accompanied with BBQued meat or fish.
Have no photo of the ready made salad – ate it before the thought of using the camera crossed my mind
So, here’s a pic of an apple instead.
First, the heat.
Rockperry’s last year in Vaasa.
Then, Asta and Veera storms. Lahja(“gift”)-storm expected to come in full force next week, yesterday night’s thunder was just a joke compared to what’s in the forecast.
Forest fires in Russia, smoke over Moscow and now spreading also across Eastern Finland.
Pakistan in flood. The last and the least news up today, sauna world championship in Heinola: one dead, one seriously burnt and his survival is under question.
… declined the possibility to be our guest, and the fact makes me a very happy panda
Many other Finnish towns in Pirkanmaa, Keski-Suomi, Pohjois-Savo, Kainuu and Koillismaa regions were not so fortunate by far. The devastating storm on Wednesday left behind around 30,000 households without electricity, a few buildings on fire, 3 people injuried… Falling trees ruined 50 caravans in one camping lot! Cannot believe this could ever happen in Finland, so far north and away from any location where such things are normal.
They say the number of cloud-to-ground lightning strokes reached 23,000 on one single day.
Next week, another storm, third in a row, is expected to arrive in the Eastern Finland. Oh-hohooo…
I can hear wind howling loudly outside, so what the meteorologists say is hardly an overestimation… Probably our case will not be so harsh as Asta that caused a lot of a problem in Eastern and Southern Finland, however HS recommends today to secure extra food and water supplies, radio, and batteries for about a week ahead since shortfalls are possible. (I wonder what happens to all this food when fridges shut down and, besides, almost every stove in Finland is run by electricity, and cooking on an open fire is unsafe because the wind is too strong and the forest too dry, so…. bread, sausage, and juice or beer seem to be the only combination possible. Well, okay, canned food, too – but I cannot imagine eating sardines day after day for a WEEK). Hope cellular phone stays on, it’s become sorta third hand to all of us.
Of course fear takes molehills for mountains. Sure. It will by no means be even close to El Niño or whatever they have on the “wrong” side of the Ocean. A few old trees might be taken down by wind, and that’s it.
Went outside to check the mail and saw those two chilling out on a meadow nearby.
Were they afraid of the camera? You must be kidding. Not the least sign of fear. It is only when I was at about an arm distance from them that they lazily marched away.
